THE BIRDCAGE (1996)

A gay cabaret owner and his drag queen companion agree to put up a false straight front so that their son can introduce them to his fiancée's right-wing moralistic parents.

 

THE TREE OF LIFE (2011)

The story of a family in Waco, Texas in 1956. The eldest son witnesses the loss of innocence and struggles with his parents' conflicting teachings.

 

SLEEPY HOLLOW (1999)

Ichabod Crane is sent to Sleepy Hollow to investigate the decapitations of three people, with the culprit being the legendary apparition, The Headless Horseman.

 

Latinx Lens Recommend film is IDENTIFYING FEATURES (2020) by Mexican director/producer/writer Fernanda Valadez. It’s about a woman tries to find her son's whereabouts after he leaves Mexico to find work in the United States.
